March 18, 2025 at 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
$10.00Join us for an inspiring journey with Judy Thompson, whose work seamlessly blends innovative watercolor with a Midwestern focus. Over the course of her workshops, Judy will engage with our community through demonstrations in open studio sessions, inviting participants to explore their own creative expressions.
Each session begins with a brief review of a key concept setting the stage for hands-on practice. Judy will guide participants through the intricacies of composition, simplification, and proportion, including the importance of design elements in creating compelling artworks. With her expert input and personalized feedback, attendees will gain confidence as they explore these techniques, fostering a supportive environment that encourages experimentation and growth. Whether you’re looking to refine your skills or dive into new methods, Judy’s insightful guidance will empower you to elevate your artistic practice.
Note: This is an open studio where you will have time to paint, get encouragement and experiment in a collaborative setting. Please bring your paintings-in-progress to work on in class. Judy will be available for individualized instruction, demonstrations, and critiques as requested.
