Maker Space (Grades 3-4)

June 16 at 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Free

A “makerspace” is an area where people can gather to work on projects in a shared space. The Orange City Public Library makerspace will focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) activities in order to foster innovation through hands-on experimentation. Children will have the opportunity to be creative using their own vision, strategies, and ideas. During each makerspace session there will be approximately five stations with a variety of materials for children to choose and create their own projects or activities. A facilitator is present to help children understand basic STEAM concepts, expand critical thinking skills, and make the most of their makerspace experiences. We encourage your child to join us for an hour of creative fun!

Registration is required for this event. Registration will appear below beginning May 1st at 8:00 a.m.
